Modern meets bohemian with absolutely stunning results in this Texas ranch wedding! Sweet August Events was on hand to help the stylish bride and groom have the wedding of their dreams in an outdoor ceremony which featured an oh-so chic macrame ceremony backdrop and eclectic mix of layered, mismatched rugs for the aisle. Guests then dined and danced the night away in a tented reception where long tables were adorned with potted plants and romantic candles on patterned runners. The joy spilling over from these lovely images by Alyssa Nikole Photography is impossible to resist!
From the Bride: One word that best describes our wedding is magical. The rain, the laughter, the sunset, the music, the people, and most importantly the love- I couldn’t imagine our wedding being any other way. Looking back at the photos, my heart is fluttering. It feels as if we are there, in the midst of it all over again.
Everything about today’s charming anniversary photoshoot rates a huge thumbs up! A romantic day at the beach is always a fun idea, especially when it involves such a delicious spread. What made us fall even harder for this session from Melissa Blythe Photography is the beautiful bond between these two as they celebrated and read their wedding vows to each other once again!
From Melissa Blythe Photography: If you find the one who makes your soul sing and heart hum, marry them. Being married and sharing your life with another person is the most intimate gesture there is. For this session the couple wanted to celebrate two years as husband and wife with a romantic evening on the beach filled with laughter, love and a decadent picnic, ending in a reading of the same vows they read and promised each other two years prior. Let Andrew and Sidney’s chemistry captured in these photographs serve as a reminder that a beautiful wedding is for a day but a beautiful marriage is for a lifetime.
From Erika Parker Photography comes a photoshoot on the California coast, mesmerizing us with its moody neutral hues, an ethereal J.Mendel dress made for the gentle ocean breeze and perfectly regal accessories by Porter Lyons. At the center of it all these beautiful images capture the easy intimacy and tender moments of a couple in love. A sweet reminder of how wonderful it is to document and celebrate the journey of marriage!
From the couple: In June of 2012, neither Sony or I were looking for a relationship. Fresh off of a breakup (as in the day before!), a friend convinced me to leave the house and come with her to a birthday party. The host/birthday boy had clearly exerted quite the control over the guest list — what Sony refers to as “the best party ever”, was an apartment filled with eight women for every one man! I decided I was going to jet as quickly as possible – and stumbled through the kitchen towards the front door, only to be pulled into a conversation by Sony. He was charming, smart, earnest and completely unexpected. I can recall with perfect clarity the smile on his face on our first date, and the moment he first held my hand. Every day he makes some gesture, small or large, that causes me to fall in love with him all over again. I wasn’t ready for a relationship, but I think I had always been ready for Sony.
From Erika Parker Photography: Sony and Stephanie were married last year in Savannah, GA where Stephanie’s family is from. They had a beautiful wedding, filled with fun, family and friends, but they currently live in San Francisco. They really wanted some pictures in their West Coast environment, and we thought doing a shoot at Stinson outside of San Francisco would be perfect. They have such amazing energy together, and are just so much fun to be around. Their love and good humour is infectious! The day we chose to go to Stinson Beach was absolutely gorgeous even if it was a little chilly. It was the perfect setting for Stephanie’s J. Mendel dress to catch some breeze.
